• Edit your server.cfg in the left4dead/cfg folder.

  • Add or modify the line z_difficulty "<difficulty>". Valid values are Easy, Normal, Hard, or Impossible (corresponding to Easy, Normal, Advanced, Expert). For instance:

  • Save the file and restart your server to apply the change.
